Summer Institute - Future Oriented Higher Education Management: AI, Rankings and Student Success

 

About the Programme

This 2.5-day Summer Institute (20–22 August 2026) at EdUHK’s Tai Po Campus is designed for prospective applicants to the new Master of Arts in Higher Education Management (MA(HEM)) launching in the 2027/28 academic year, as well as mid-career professionals seeking targeted development in higher education leadership.


The programme combines keynote lectures by academic leaders from top 985 universities (Peking University, Zhejiang University, Tongji University, Sun Yat-sen University, and others), practice-oriented HEM taster courses, thematic workshops, case studies, simulations, and networking sessions. Participants will explore key topics including:

 

  • AI in higher education management and teaching/learning
  • Global rankings and strategic positioning
  • Student success, engagement, and affairs
  • Campus security and institutional governance

 

The Summer Institute serves as a strategic platform to strengthen partnerships with leading Mainland institutions, respond to sectoral training needs, and provide experiential exposure to the MA(HEM) curriculum and teaching approach. A Certificate of Participation will be issued.

 

Delivery Language: Primarily Putonghua.

 

Standard Fee: HK$3,800 per participant (includes programme materials and Certificate of Participation).
