Higher Education Dialogue Series

What is it?

A free, open event focused on discussing key questions about higher education and its relationship with society.

What kind of questions will be discussed?

  • Is higher education fair?

  • Who should pay for higher education?

  • Is higher education a business?

  • Has the expansion of university education reduced inequality?

  • Are bibliometrics corrupting academic life?

  • Should academics compete or collaborate?

  • Should everyone have the right to a higher education?

What is the format?

Usually two or three speakers will offer different perspectives on one key question for 5-10 minutes each after which attendees will be invited to contribute and join in the discussion.

When is it held?

It is held once a month on the EdUHK Tai Po campus between 1pm-2pm.
