Relive the excitements of the Critical University Studies Conference 2024, held between 19th to 21st of June, 2024 at the EdUHK North Point Learning Centre.
Conference Summary
The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) successfully hosted the Critical University Studies Conference 2024 between 19 to 21 June 2024 under the theme “Rage against the machine: Remaking universities for hopeful futures”. The conference saw participation from nearly 120 academics representing 18 regions, including mainland China, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The event was co-organised by the Centre for Higher Education Leadership and Policy Studies (CHELPS) and the Faculty of Education and Human Development (FEHD) at EdUHK.
Throughout the three-day event, academics from around the world gathered to discuss and explore the pressing issues facing higher education today through symposia, paper presentations, and group discussions. The active engagement of all participants enriched the discourse and provided valuable perspectives on potential and hopeful transformations in higher education.
